The Board of Commissioners of the Township of Haddon, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, does hereby authorize the Fire Marshal of such Township to establish fire areas and to regulate traffic and parking therein.
This chapter shall apply to all roadways, driveways, parking areas and other such facilities or parts thereof as the Fire Marshal of the Township of Haddon shall determine in order to provide for the public health, safety and welfare.
The Fire Marshal of the Township of Haddon shall specifically designate in writing fire areas and the type of traffic regulations and parking regulations as shall be required for each area so designated. The Fire Marshal of the Township of Haddon shall then file the writing with the Clerk of the Township of Haddon, who shall thereafter notify all departments of the Township of Haddon affected by such writing of the fire areas and parking and traffic regulations designated by the Fire Marshal.
The appropriate officials of the Township of Haddon shall cause the erection of signs designating fire areas and the type and kind of traffic and parking regulations applicable to each fire area.
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or park a motor vehicle in a designated fire area in violation of the traffic and parking regulations applicable to such fire area.
Any person who shall violate this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, pay a fine of not exceeding $50 or be imprisoned in the county jail for a term not exceeding five days, or both, for each offense, in the discretion of the court.
