There is hereby established a Special Events Committee for the
Borough of Haledon to be known as the "Special Events Committee of
the Borough of Haledon."
The purpose of the Special Events Committee is to organize the
local patriotic celebrations, including, but not limited to, parades
and fireworks. The Committee sponsors various events in order to bring
together local citizens, businesses and civic groups with the goal
of fostering a social and community-building atmosphere.
The duties of the Special Events Committee shall be as follows:
A. Raising funds through various events in order to help plan, finance
and coordinate the Borough's patriotic celebrations, fireworks
and other community events.
B. Prepare and recommend to the governing body an annual calendar of
events of Borough activities.
The Special Events Committee shall meet at least once per month
and keep complete and accurate records of its meetings and activities
and shall make an annual report to the Mayor and Council.
