The office of Personnel Director and Affirmative
Action Officer is hereby created within the Borough of Longport.
The Personnel Director and Affirmative Action
officer shall be appointed by resolution of the Board of Commissioners
of the Borough of Longport and shall serve for a period of one year
commencing each year on January 1; provided, however, that the Board
of Commissioners may by resolution make the first appointment from
the date of appointment until December 31, 1976.
It shall be the duty of the Personnel Director
and Affirmative Action Officer to develop an affirmative action plan
for the Borough of Longport in accordance with the resolution of the
Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Longport and in accordance
with the laws of the State of New Jersey and the United States.
