The office of Deputy Municipal Clerk is hereby
created.
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-135(a), the powers,
duties, and functions of the Deputy Municipal Clerk shall be limited
to a portion of those set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A-133 e(2), and the
Deputy Municipal Clerk shall perform such duties when requested by
the Commissioner or his or her designee responsible for the department
under which the Municipal Clerk is allocated. The limited duties are
to attend meetings, prepare meeting agendas and minutes of the meetings
attended by the Deputy Municipal Clerk. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-135,
during the absence or disability of the Municipal Clerk, the Deputy
Municipal Clerk shall have all the powers of the Municipal Clerk and
shall perform the functions and duties of such office.

The office of Assistant Deputy Municipal Clerk
is hereby created. More than one person may be designated to serve
as an Assistant Deputy Municipal Clerk.

The duties of the Assistant Deputy Municipal
Clerk shall be to assist the Deputy Municipal Clerk and function in
his or her stead. The Assistant Deputy Municipal Clerk shall not have
the powers or perform the functions and duties of the office of Municipal
Clerk during the absence or disability of the Municipal Clerk.
