There is hereby created in the Township of Mansfield the position of
School Crossing Guard.
Said Crossing Guard shall be appointed by the Township Committee for
a term not to exceed one year, which term shall expire on December 31 in the
year of appointment.
The duties of such Crossing Guard shall be to control, direct and/or
observe the flow of traffic and to control and supervise the crossing of the
street by school children, at such times and at such places as the Township
Committee may designate.
Said Crossing Guard shall be compensated at the rate set forth in the
Salary Ordinance of the Township.
In its discretion, the Township Committee may appoint the Crossing Guard
a special policeman in the manner provided by law.
This article shall take effect upon its final passage and publication
as provided by law.

There is hereby created within the Township of Mansfield the Office
of Municipal Administrator who shall be known as the "Senior Police Records
Clerk of Mansfield Township."
The rate of compensation will be between $10 and $25 per hour.
The daily functions of the Senior Police Records Clerk shall include,
but not be limited to, the following:
A. Discovery officer:
(1) Responds to discovery requests from defense attorneys
for matters to be heard in municipal court;
(2) Gathers and disseminates reports and other documentation;
(3) Redacts and copies mobile video recorder tapes; and
(4) Includes both MTPD and NJSP requests.
B. CJIS/TAC Officer:
(1) System administrator for NCIC System for MTPD;
(2) Trains officers in the use of the NCIC System; and
(3) Prepares monthly report to NJSP regarding NCIC use.
C. Burlington County Reporting System administrator:
(1) Trains officers in the use of the Burlington County Reporting
System;
(2) Responsible for overseeing upgrades to system; and
(3) Responsible for maintenance of system.
D. Police Department office manager:
(1) Coordinates the functions with the administrative office
of the Police Department;
(2) Handles vehicle releases;
(3) Verifies validity of registration and insurance documents
presented by public;
(4) Authorizes the release of towed and impounded vehicles;
(5) Greets public who visit the police station;
(6) Handles questions and/or refers them to appropriate office
or authority;
(7) Answers phone calls, responds to citizen inquiries, routes
calls to appropriate office or authority, takes messages as required;
(8) Inputs and maintains statistical information in newly
implemented MS-Excel spreadsheets;
(9) Inputs and maintains data in newly implemented Department
MS-Access database;
(10) Prepares purchase requisitions as needed for Department
supplies and equipment;
(11) Prepares asset forfeiture reports as needed; and assists
the Director of Public Safety with all administrative aspects of commanding
the Police Department.
E. Supervises personnel:
(1) Responsible for the training, work assignment, and supervision
of other clerical staff within the Police Department administrative office.
