No person, firm or corporation shall install, operate or maintain any local fire or burglar alarm system upon any premises within the Borough of Hasbrouck Heights unless and until such system has been registered with the Police Department of the Borough of Hasbrouck Heights. Such registration shall be in writing, upon the payment of a fee as set forth in Chapter
133, Fees, and upon a form provided which shall include a statement of the following:
A. The location of the device.
B. The name, address and telephone number of the owner
of the premises.
C. The name, address and telephone number of the tenant
or principal occupant of the premises.
D. The name, address and telephone number of the person
who may be contacted when an alarm is activated.
F. The provisions to be made for the testing of such
device.
For the purpose of this article, a "local fire
and/or burglar alarm system" is defined as such system having an audible
or visible alarm or signal device on the outside of any structure.
Exempt from the requirements of this article are such fire and/or
burglar alarm systems for which a permit of the Borough of Hasbrouck
Heights is otherwise required.
Any person, firm or corporation failing to so
register such device as required herein shall be subject to an order
of the Chief of Police to remove such exterior audible or visible
alarm or signal device.
