Within the limits of the Borough of Hasbrouck Heights, no person, firm or corporation shall conduct or carry on, for a fee, charge or compensation of any kind or character, whether for entertainment or otherwise, the business of practicing or pretending to practice astrology, handwriting analysis, physiognomy, palmistry, the telling of destinies or fortunes or like crafty science, unless and until there shall be granted by the Mayor and Council, in accordance with the terms of this chapter, and shall be in force and effect a license to conduct said business.
Said license shall be applied for by written application filed with the Mayor and Borough Council. Such application shall set forth the full name and address of the applicant, the kind or character of business proposed to be carried on and the location of the place or premises in or at which the business is to be conducted, and said application shall also be accompanied by a deposit to cover the license fee for the current year in the amount hereinafter provided.
A. 
There shall be charged and collected for said license an annual license fee as set forth in Chapter 133, Fees. Said license shall expire on January 1 of each year. Said license fee shall be payable in advance for each year or part thereof.

B. 
The Mayor and Council may revoke any such license, after notice and hearing, for a violation of law or for a breach of any of the terms of this chapter.
The licensed place or premises shall, at all times, be subject to inspection on the part of the Police Department.[1]
