The post of Legal Prosecutor for the Borough of Totowa is hereby created. Pursuant to the provisions of P.L. 1996, c. 95, § 14 (Assembly Bill No. 1416),[1] a municipality may employ an attorney at law as a Prosecutor, under the supervision of the Attorney General or County Prosecutor, who may represent the state, county or municipality in any matter within the jurisdiction of the central municipal court or any other municipal court.

The Prosecutor's duties shall be to appear before the Municipal Court of the Borough of Totowa and prosecute any and all cases of a criminal nature or a quasicriminal which the Municipal Judge deems need proper prosecution and preparation.

The salary of the post of Prosecutor shall be as set and determined by the Salary Ordinance.[1]
