Constables shall be appointed by the Select Board from time to time in such numbers as the Board deems necessary in accordance with the provisions of MGL c. 41, § 91B, and shall have such authority, responsibilities and jurisdiction as provided by law.

Constables shall be appointed for a term of one year and shall be residents of the Town of Fairhaven or the City of New Bedford. They shall pay a licensing fee of $25.
