No pool used for swimming or bathing designed for a water depth
of 24 inches or more or with a surface area greater than 150 square
feet shall be placed in service until the initial installation has
been inspected and approved by the Board of Health or its agent.
All such pools shall comply with the State Building Code and
the following standards:
A.
All pools shall be entirely enclosed by a building wall and/or fence
of not less than four feet in height. Any gate shall be equipped with
a secure lock. Such fencing shall be designed and constructed so as
to make the pool inaccessible to children by climbing or entering
through fence openings.
B.
All pools shall provide filtration, disinfection or other facilities
as necessary to maintain the quality of pool water within the standards
specified by state regulation for public swimming areas.
