Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8(1) of the State Construction Code Act, Public Act 230 of 1972,[1] the BOCA Basic Plumbing Code, 1978 Edition, and the BOCA Basic Plumbing Code supplements, as published by the Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc., are adopted by reference, including all references therein printed, and those documents, together with the provisions of this article, shall be known as the "Plumbing Code of the Village of New Haven."

References in the BOCA Basic Plumbing Code to "municipality" and "name of municipality" shall mean the Village of New Haven.
Notice is hereby given that a copy of the BOCA Basic Plumbing Code, 1978 Edition, and accumulative supplements, as referred to in § 394-1 of this article, is available for public use and inspection at the office of the Clerk of the Village of New Haven.

Any person, firm or corporation or other entity, or anyone acting on his or its behalf, who shall violate any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalties set forth in Chapter 59, Municipal Civil Infractions, of the Code of the Village of New Haven. Each day that a violation is permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense.
