There is hereby created and established a Board of Health for the Borough of Pennington, pursuant to the provisions of the N.J.S.A. 26:3-3.

The Board of Health of the Borough of Pennington, County of Mercer and State of New Jersey, shall be composed of five members, to be appointed by the Mayor of the Borough of Pennington with the advice and consent of the Borough Council. Members of the Board of Health shall be appointed for three-year terms arranged so that the terms of no more than two members expire in any year.
The members of the Board of Health of the Borough of Pennington shall receive no compensation for their services as members of the Board.
The Board of Health shall have all the rights, powers and duties as are conferred upon local boards of health by the Revised Statutes of the State of New Jersey.
The Board of Health, at its organizational meeting to be held on or about July 1 of each year, shall elect and choose:
A. 
A Chair of the Board of Health, who shall serve for a period of one year and until a successor is chosen and qualified.
B. 
A Secretary of the Board of Health, who shall serve for a period of one year and until a successor is chosen and qualified.
C. 
Such officers as may be deemed necessary by the Borough Board of Health.
