There shall be the following appointed officers
of the Town:
(a) Tax Collector; Assessor; Tree Warden; Director of
Civil Preparedness; Town Clerk and Registrar of Vital Statistics;
Treasurer; and an Administrative Officer.

(b) Such other appointed officers as may be required by
general law or applicable Special Act after the effective date of
this Charter.
(c) The Town Clerk and Registrar of Vital Statistics and
the Treasurer elected in 1987 shall serve the term to which elected,
and no appointment to these offices shall be made until that term
expires or the office is otherwise vacated.

There shall be the following appointed boards
of the Town:
(a) Board of Finance; Town Plan and Zoning Commission;
Library Commission.

(b) Such other appointed boards as may be required by
general law or applicable Special Act after the effective date of
this Charter.
There shall be such other appointed officers and boards as shall be created from time to time pursuant to Sections
4-2 and 4-7, or continued pursuant to Article
X.
Appointed officers, pursuant to §
7-3, shall have the powers, duties and responsibilities prescribed therefor by the ordinance or resolution creating the same.
Each board appointed under §
7-2(b) or 7-3 shall have such powers, duties and responsibilities and shall be subject to such other provisions as shall be contained in the statute, ordinance or resolution creating the same.
