The purpose of this chapter is to authorize designated public servants of the Town of Cornwall to issue and serve appearance tickets in connection with the violations of state statutes, local laws, ordinances or rules and regulations of the town which the public servants are authorized or required to enforce.

The following public servants of the Town of Cornwall are hereby designated and authorized to issue and serve appearance tickets with respect to violations of state statutes, local laws, ordinances, rules or regulations of the town that such designated public servants are respectively required or authorized to enforce:

An appearance ticket shall be served personally.
