The sewerage system of the Dutchess Park Sewer District consists
of lateral and trunk sewers laid in streets and rights-of-way. The
locations of these works, including the kinds, sizes and depths of
pipelines, are shown on sets of plans on file at the office of the
Town Clerk of the Town of Fishkill. At all points where there are
changes in alignment or grade of the sewers, manholes with cast-iron
frames and covers have been built to provide access to the sewer lines
for purposes of inspection, ventilation and cleaning.
[Amended 10-11-1994 by L.L. No. 9-1994]
The cost of management, operation, maintenance and repair of
the Dutchess Park Sewer District shall be levied and collected in
the manner described by the Town Board as Commissioners of the special
improvement district. Apportionment of costs will be on the "benefit
method" whereby the cost will be borne by each property within the
district in just proportion to the amount of benefit which the district
conveys upon such property. The benefit formulation shall be adopted,
and may be amended from time to time, by resolution of the Fishkill
Town Board acting as Commissioners of the Dutchess Park Sewer District.
