A. 
No person shall throw, cast, drop, put or place, or having accidentally dropped, failed to pick up any bag, bottle, bottle cap, box, container, garbage, paper, piece of paper, wrapper, cigarette or cigarette container or cigarette filter or any other trash or litter, in or upon any public park, place, playground, cemetery, fountain, street or building, except in receptacles provided for such purposes.
B. 
Visitors wishing to utilize any public park within the city to include the Geneva Lakefront area shall be responsible for removing all trash brought into the above designated areas. It is the intent of this section that visitors shall adopt a carry-in/carry-out policy and that utilization of trash receptacles located in the park areas are for the purpose of collection of small objects and not for the purpose of collection of garbage and refuse.
C. 
Violation of any of the provisions of this section shall be punishable by a fine of not less than $100 or more than $500 or by imprisonment not exceeding 15 days, or by both said fine and imprisonment.

A violation of the provisions of this chapter at the Chamber of Commerce Lake Site and the property immediately adjacent thereto on the east and commonly known as the Gil Waltz Memorial property shall be punishable by a mandatory, minimum fine of $50 and a maximum fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
