Nothing herein shall apply to a wire or wires serving simply as a local
service line into a consumer's premises and attached to a line existing
as of the effective date of this chapter.
In determining whether approval shall be given, the Council shall consider
the effect upon the public health, safety and general welfare of the line
in question and shall act so as to promote the same.
Any person, partnership, firm or corporation who or which shall violate
any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced
to pay a fine of not more than $600 and costs of prosecution, and, in default
of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days.
Each day in which a wire installed in violation of this chapter shall remain
so installed shall constitute a separate offense hereunder.
