It is the purpose of this article to establish
a fee system to defray costs incurred by the Borough when reviewing
and processing a petition submitted by a private party, requesting
Borough Council to vacate any public street, alley, right-of-way or
portion thereof.[1]
B.
No petition for vacating a Borough street, alley,
right-of-way or any portion thereof shall be accepted and processed
by the Borough until a vacating fee has been paid in full by the petitioner.[2]

Editor's Note: Ordinances providing for the
vacation of streets, alleys or rights-of-way are on file in the office
of the Borough Secretary.
C.
Any expense incurred by the Borough for other professional
assistance, including legal, advertising and engineering fees, in
reviewing and/or processing a petition shall be paid by the petitioner
in addition to the fee established herein.
