The Township of Marple hereby accepts the provisions of the Act of the General Assembly known as the "First Class Township Law," approved June 24, 1931, P.L. 1206, relating to the office of the Township Controller, being Sections 525, 526 and Sections 1101 to 1113, inclusive,[1] so that hereafter the audit of the accounts of the Township of Marple shall be made by the Township Controller.

Agreeably to the provisions of Section 1102 of the First Class Township Law,[1] the annual salary of the Controller shall be $5,000 and shall be passed by ordinance 30 days before the election of the Controller.
