A.Â
In addition to any other legal requirements or prohibitions,
no person shall be eligible to be elected or appointed as Mayor, Trustee
or member of any board or commission, and no person if elected or
appointed to such office shall be eligible to continue to serve therein,
who is not a citizen of the United States of America, at least 18
years of age and a resident of the Village.
B.Â
The provisions of any law, rule or regulation which require that
a public officer of the Village be a resident of the Village shall
not apply, except that the Village Manager and Fire Inspector, shall
be, when appointed, and shall remain during their tenure as public
officers, residents of Westchester, residing within 15 miles of the
Village's corporate limits.

C.Â
The provisions of any law, rule or regulation that
requires that a Court Clerk of the Town of Mount Kisco be a resident
of the Town shall not apply to the appointment of Court Clerks of
the Town, provided that such officers shall be, when appointed, and
shall remain during their tenure as Town officers, residents of the
County of Westchester or of an adjoining county within the State of
New York.
