It shall be unlawful for any person to, at any time, fire, discharge or cause to be fired or discharged any gun, cannon, rifle, pistol or firearm of any kind in the Town of Owasco. This section shall not apply to peace officers in the discharge of their official duties, persons using firearms in necessary self-defense of person or property, bona fide gun clubs, shooting galleries or public exhibitions, nor to persons acting in compliance with the New York State Environmental Conservation Law and Volume 6 of the Codes, Rules and Regulations of the State of New York.
The emission of thick or dense black smoke, soot, dust or cinders from the stack or chimney used in connection with any boiler or furnace of any description shall be deemed and is hereby declared to be a public nuisance and is prohibited. The owner, owners, user or users of any such stack or chimney who permit or allow dense smoke or thick black smoke to issue therefrom within the Town of Owasco shall be deemed and held guilty of creating a public nuisance and a violation of this section.
No person shall, within the Town of Owasco, allow, permit or cause to exist any unsanitary or filthy condition in or about any premises owned and/or used or occupied by such person.
Any person violating any provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a violation punishable, upon conviction, by a maximum fine of $250 or imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
