The fire stations shall be locked between the hours of
9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. each day to prevent the general public from entering.
The locking and unlocking will be accomplished by the membership of the Owego
Fire Department.
Fire Department members and their guests will be the
only persons allowed in any station during the time the doors are locked.
A member having guests will be responsible for the behavior of his guests.
The Owego Fire Department stations will not be a haven
for troublemakers, and the Owego Fire Department will dismiss any member who
is causing problems.
The general public will be allowed to enter any station
which is unlocked between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Entrance is
allowed for review of our fine fire-fighting equipment.
In the event that problems should occur between the Owego
Police Department and members of the Owego Fire Department or their guests
while they are in any fire station, the Police Department is to notify a Chief
of the Owego Fire Department immediately.
If these regulations are adopted by the
Village Board of Trustees, a copy of the same shall be distributed to the
Owego Police Department, the Village Justice, the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village
of Owego and the Owego Fire Board.[1]
