No person shall exhibit for money or hire any rodeo or show depicting
feats of horsemanship or present a circus, caravan of animals or carnival,
or maintain or operate a carousel or merry-go-round, without first obtaining
a license therefor.
Before any license shall be issued for any performance or amusement
hereunder, a public liability insurance policy in the principal sum of $100,000/$300,000
shall be filed with the Village Clerk, executed by the applicant and conditioned
that the village will be saved harmless for any injury to persons or property
because of fault or default by the licensees; said policy to be issued by
a bonding company authorized to do business in New York State, and in form
approved by Village Counsel.
In no circumstances shall any of the activities hereunder comprehended
be conducted in any portion of the village zoned for residential purposes,
or in any other zone within 100 feet of any residence unless the owner thereof
grants his consent thereto in writing which shall be filed with the Village
Clerk not less than three days before an exhibition or performance hereunder
is produced.
