As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
NUISANCE
Any act or acts or activity dangerous to health, or which tend to endanger public comfort or repose.
No person, firm or corporation shall cause, permit or allow the creation, existence or continuance of any nuisance as herein defined.
The Board of Trustees of the Village of Port Chester may serve a notice in writing upon the owner, occupant, agent or person in possession or control of any lot, building or premises upon which any nuisance may be found requiring him to abate the same in such manner as it shall prescribe within a reasonable time. If the person so notified shall neglect or refuse to comply with the requirements of said notice by abating said nuisance within the time specified, such person shall be liable for a fine of $100 for each day beyond the specified time that the nuisance continues.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter or any part thereof shall be liable for and forfeit a penalty not exceeding $100 for each offense. And in addition thereto said violation shall constitute disorderly conduct and the person violating the same shall be a disorderly person.
