The Board of Trustees of the Village of Port
Washington North hereby finds that there exists a need for greater
protection against the hazards of fire spreading from building to
building within certain areas of the Village. Therefore, upon the
recommendation of the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building
Code Bureau, Long Island Division, and of the Building Inspector of
the Village of Port Washington North, and in the interest of promoting
the public health, welfare and safety, the Board hereby establishes
fire limits within the Incorporated Village of Port Washington North.
For the purposes of determining the applicability of the building construction standards of the Incorporated Village of Port Washington North, all areas zoned as Business, Industrial or Economic Development A in Chapter 176, Zoning, shall be designated "Fire Limit B" (pursuant to Section 706.1 of Title 9 of the New York Codes, Rules and Regulations, with regard to the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code applicable to general building construction).
