§ 2-1 Authorization.

The purpose of this chapter is to authorize public servants of the Village of Greenport to issue and serve appearance tickets and notices of violation in connection with violations of state statutes, local laws, ordinances or rules and regulations of the Village which the public servants are authorized or required to enforce.

§ 2-2 Authorized public servants.

The following public servants of the Village of Greenport are hereby authorized to issue and/or serve an appearance ticket or notice of violation with respect to violation of a state statute or a local law, ordinance, rule or regulation of the Village of Greenport that such public servants are, respectively, required or authorized to enforce:
A. 
Building Inspectors.
B. 
(Reserved)
C. 
Fire Inspector.
D. 
Traffic Control Officer.
E. 
Village Administrator.
F. 
Director of Utilities.
G. 
Employee of the Village of Greenport as recommended by the Director of Utilities and approved by the Village Board of Trustees.

§ 2-3 Manner of service.

An appearance ticket, other than for parking, shall be served personally.
