The Town of Guilderland is the owner of the property, and through the
Curator extends permission to residents of the Town of Guilderland to use
the Mynderse-Frederick House for meetings and noncommercial functions. Selected
groups are authorized to hold their regular meetings at the house, and all
who use it are guests of the town. The building, dating from 1802, stands
as a historic reminder of what once was in the Town of Guilderland. Its use
as an inn during the early 1800's played a major role in our local history.
Because of the effort to preserve our history of that time period, nothing
is to be permanently displayed in the house without prior permission of the
Curator.

[1]There are certain rules that all must follow when using this house:
(1)
No smoking is allowed anywhere in the house.
(2)
This house requires extra care. Each group is responsible
for the house and its contents while using it and will be billed for necessary
repairs. No spike heels are allowed.
(3)
Nothing is to be hung on the walls without permission
of the Town Historian.
(4)
Do not lean folding chairs against the walls. There is
a cart in the back room to store unused chairs.
(5)
No cooking is allowed on site, but light
refreshments are allowed.
(6)
Maid service is not provided. Users must leave the house
in the condition they found it. All refuse from a user's event must be removed
when the user leaves. There is a broom, dustpan and vacuum cleaner in the
back room for the user's convenience. An additional charge will be incurred
if cleaning is necessary after a user leaves.
(7)
No more than 50 people are allowed.
(9)
All items left shall become the property of the Town
of Guilderland.
B.
Those not following to the above policy will be denied
use of the premises.
C.
If, however, we all use common sense and adhere to the
rules, the town will continue to grant access to the Mynderse-Frederick House
and share this historical time period with our residents.
