This chapter is enacted pursuant to the New York State Constitution
and by the authority of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State
of New York, and shall be known as "Authorization for Games of Chance in the
Town of Inlet."
The words and terms used in this chapter shall be defined and have the
same meaning as such words and terms that are used and defined in Article
9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.
A.
It shall be lawful for any authorized organization upon
obtaining a license, therefore, to conduct games of chance within the territorial
limits of the Town of Inlet subject to the provisions of this chapter, the
provisions of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, and the provisions
set forth by the New York State Racing and Wagering Board.
B.
The conduct of the games of chance authorized by this
chapter shall be subject to the restrictions set forth in § 189
of the General Municipal Law and any future amendments thereto.
The powers and duties set forth in Subdivision 1 of § 194
of the General Municipal Law shall be exercised by the chief law enforcement
officer of the Town of Inlet, Hamilton County, New York.
This chapter shall become operative and effective after it has been
approved by a majority vote of the electors voting on this proposition, submitted
at a special election held within the Town of Inlet, and upon filing of this
chapter with the Secretary of State.
