A. 
The Commissioner of Public Works, the Building Inspector, the Housing Inspector, the Plumbing Inspector, the Fire Inspectors and the Foreman of the Department of Recreation and Parks of the City of Middletown, New York, are hereby authorized to issue appearance tickets in the performance of their respective duties as officials of the City of Middletown, New York, when commencing prosecution under the Code of the City of Middletown, New York, and the Laws of the State of New York, as may be provided by law.
B. 
For the purposes of this section, the term "appearance ticket" shall have the same definition as provided in § 150.10 of the Criminal Procedure Law of the State of New York and other applicable articles of that law.
