There is hereby created in the City of Middletown a department to be
known as "Department of Urban Renewal."
There shall be appointed by the Mayor a Director of Urban Renewal, who
shall be head of the Department of Urban Renewal.
The Director shall hold office during the pleasure of the Mayor. He
may be either a resident or nonresident of the City.
The appointment of the Director of Urban Renewal shall be submitted
to the Common Council for approval.
The Director may appoint such subordinates and may incur such expenses
as are provided for in the budget approved by the Housing and Home Finance
Agency and in accordance with the laws, rules, policies and requirements established
by the Housing and Home Finance Agency for Urban Renewal Project. The Director
and his subordinates shall procure and file insurance and bonds as required
by the Housing and Home Finance Agency.
The Director of Urban Renewal shall perform such duties as may be required
by the Mayor and the Housing and Home Finance Agency for the Urban Renewal
Program.
