The following rules and regulations shall apply
to the public inspection and copying of Town records in the Town of
Shandaken until altered, changed, amended or superseded by a further
resolution of the Town Board or by action of the Committee on Open
Government:
A. Place and time of inspection. Such records shall be
made available for inspection by the public on regular business days

B. If such records are not available at these hours,
a written request specifically describing the records to which access
is desired shall be filed with the Town officer or employee charged
with the custody and keeping thereof, who shall produce same within
five business days of such request.
C. Fees for copies. The Town officer or employee charged
with the custody or keeping of the records shall, upon request, make
a copy or copies of any record subject to such inspection, upon the
payment of a fee of $0.25 per page. Such copies shall be made within
one week, depending upon the volume and number of copies requested.
D. Each department shall maintain and make available
records for public inspection and copying in conformity with the rules
and regulations of the Committee on Open Government, Article 6 of
the Public Officers Law, hereby attached.
E. In addition to such requirements as may be imposed
by this chapter or by Article 6 of the Public Officers Law, each board,
commission or other group of the Town of Shandaken having more than
one member shall maintain and make available for public inspection
a record of the final votes of each member in every agency proceeding
in which he votes.
