The Board of Trustees of the Village of Tuxedo Park, having previously adopted resolutions accepting the applicability of the State Building Code and State Fire Prevention Code, hereby enacts the following administrative provisions for the enforcement of the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code pursuant to the provisions of Article 18 of the Executive Law.
The Board of Trustees shall appoint a Building Inspector for the Village and such Deputy Building Inspectors as may be necessary. The Building Inspector may be employed on a part-time basis and may serve other municipalities in the capacity of building official. The compensation of the Building Inspector shall be as determined by the Board of Trustees.
The Building Inspector and Deputies shall exercise all the powers and perform all the duties conferred by law and by the Board of Trustees, including but not limited to:
A. 
The administration and enforcement of the Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code in the Village, except as provided in Chapter 53, Fire Prevention, of this Code.
B. 
The administration and enforcement of the Zoning Law of the Village, as provided in Article VI thereof.[1]

The enforcement of those portions of the Code of the Village of Tuxedo Park that designate the Building Inspector as the enforcing official, including the water and sewer regulations.[2]

D. 
Such powers and duties as may be conferred from time to time by the Board of Trustees.
The fire prevention provisions of the State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code shall be enforced by the official designated in Chapter 53, Fire Prevention of this Code.
Applications for building permits and certificates of occupancy shall be accompanied by such fees as are established from time to time by resolution of the Board of Trustees.[1]

Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this chapter or the Uniform Code shall be punishable as provided in § 382 of the Executive Law.
