This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "Mobile and Modular
Home Law of the Town of Westfield."
The regulations set forth herein are made to ensure the proper installation
of mobile homes and modular homes and proper placement of travel trailers,
including provision for sewage disposal, water supply, inspection of facilities
and to protect the correlative rights of neighboring properties and other
actions deemed necessary to all citizens of the Town of Westfield.
No mobile home, double-wide home or modular home or travel trailer shall
hereafter be used, located, moved or occupied within the limits of the Town
of Westfield except as expressly permitted by and in conformity with the regulations
herein specified.
The jurisdiction of this chapter shall encompass the entire lands of
the Town of Westfield, exclusive of the incorporated Village of Westfield.
This chapter is to be read in conformity with standards prescribed and definitions used in Chapter 185, Zoning, as amended, revised or replaced. To the extent that any provision of this chapter may be in conflict with requirements or standards set by Chapter 185, Zoning, this chapter shall be controlling; however, nothing herein contained shall be read to reduce the standards, minimum requirements or specifications of Chapter 185, Zoning.
