Any person who violates or permits a violation of this chapter shall,
upon conviction in a summary proceeding brought before a District Justice
under the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure, be guilty of a summary
offense and shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000, plus costs
of prosecution. In default of payment thereof, the defendant may be sentenced
to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 30 days. Each day or portion thereof
that such violation continues or is permitted to continue shall constitute
a separate offense, and each section of this chapter that is violated shall
constitute a separate offense.
Nothing in this chapter shall proscribe the Township from enforcing
provisions in this chapter in an action in equity brought in the Court of
Common Pleas of Montgomery County.
Any person aggrieved by a violation of this chapter may commence a civil action on his or her own behalf against any person who is alleged to be in violation of § 95-18. No provision of this chapter shall be construed to impair any common law or statutory cause of action, or legal remedy therefrom, of any person for injury or damage arising from any violation of this chapter or from other law.
