A. 
Parking is prohibited on all Town roads in the Town of Hamptonburgh during a snowstorm, flood, fire or other public emergency which affects that portion of the public highway upon which said vehicle is parked or abandoned or if such vehicle is parked or abandoned in such a manner as to hinder or interfere with the proper removal of snow or ice; when any vehicle is found unattended on any street or highway within the Town where said vehicle constitutes an obstruction to traffic; or when any vehicle is parked or abandoned on any street or highway within the Town where stopping, standing or parking is prohibited.
B. 
Parking on either side of Gouge Avenue for a distance of 130 feet from the entrance to New York State Route 207 shall be prohibited at all times.

C. 
Parking on the east side of Hamptonburgh Road a distance of 1,100 feet from the entrance to Sarah Wells Trail (County Route 8) and on the west side of Hamptonburgh Road a distance of 950 feet from the intersection of J. Kenter Road and Hamptonburgh Road running south toward the intersection of Hamptonburgh Road and Sarah Wells Trail (County Route 8) shall be prohibited at all times.

The Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized to remove and store, or have removed and stored, any vehicle parked or abandoned in violation of this article. The Superintendent of Highways shall not release or authorize the release of any such vehicle so removed until the cost to the Town, as certified by the Superintendent, for removal, including towing and storage, shall have been paid to the Town Clerk.

A violation of this article shall constitute a traffic infraction, and any person violating this article shall, in addition to the provisions of § 136-6, be liable for a fine of not more than $250 or imprisonment not to exceed 15 days, or both, for each and every said violation.
