No person in a public park and recreation area
shall:
A. Willfully mark, deface, disfigure, injure, tamper
with or displace or remove any buildings, bridges, tables, benches,
fireplaces, railings, pavings or paving materials, waterlines or other
public utilities or parts or appurtenances thereof, signs, notices
or placards, whether temporary or permanent, monuments, stakes, posts
or other boundary markers or other structures or equipment, facilities
or park property or appurtenances whatsoever, either real or personal.
B. Dig or remove any soil, rock, sand, stones, trees,
shrubs or plants or other wood or materials, or make any excavation
by tool, equipment, blasting or other means or agency.
C. Damage, cut, carve, transplant or remove any tree
or plant or injure the bark, or pick flowers or seeds of any tree
or plant, dig in or otherwise disturb grass areas or in any other
way injure the natural beauty or usefulness of any area.
Any person destroying or misusing park property
or equipment will be subject to prosecution by law.
Any one acting in a disorderly manner (profane
language or obscene acts) may have his privilege to use park facilities
withdrawn.
Permission to use the park facilities will be
granted by the Borough Council. Regularly scheduled games will always
take precedence.
Managers and coaches have responsibility for
maintaining order and cleaning the park area used. Failure to meet
responsibility may result in suspension of the privilege to use facilities
in the future.
Glass containers are not permitted on the recreation
grounds.
Bicycles must be parked in bicycle racks at
all times.
Motor vehicles are not permitted on playing
fields. They must be parked in designated areas.
Driving of golf balls and archery are not permitted
on recreation grounds.
If at any time any member of the Borough Council
or a Borough employee is threatened by any person or persons, said
person or persons will be banned from using all recreation facilities.
Fields are off limits after dark, except for
properly supervised group activities approved by the Recreation Commission.
No dogs are permitted on the recreation grounds.
Any person violating any of the provisions of
this article or any rule or regulation promulgated pursuant hereto
shall, upon conviction, be subject to the replacement, repair or restoration
of any damaged park property and shall be subject to a fine not exceeding
$200 and, in default of payment thereof, may be sentenced to imprisonment
in the county jail, in the discretion of the Magistrate, for a term
not exceeding 90 days.
This article is in addition to and not in derogation
of any other ordinance involving or affecting any of the subject matters
contained in this article.
