Uninsured motorist coverage. The Township of Pemberton
self-insurance program uninsured motorists coverage shall be in the amount
of the statutory minimums of $15,000, exclusive of interest and costs, on
account of injury to or death of one person in any one accident and of $30,000,
exclusive of interest and costs, on account of injury to or death of more
than one person in any one accident, as authorized pursuant to N.J.S.A. 17:1.1(a);
except that, in order to recover for noneconomic loss, as defined in N.J.S.A.
39:6A-2, for accidents to which the benefits of N.J.S.A. 39:6A-4 apply, the
tort option elected pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:6A-8 shall apply to that injured
person.
Underinsured motorist coverage. The Township of Pemberton
underinsured motorist coverage shall be limited to the amount of $15,000,
exclusive of interest and costs, on account of injury to or death of one person
in any one accident and shall be limited to $30,000, exclusive of interest
and costs, on account of injury to or death of more than one person in any
one accident, as authorized pursuant to N.J.S.A. 17:1.1(a); except that, in
order to recover for noneconomic loss, as defined in N.J.S.A. 39:6A-2, for
accidents to which the benefits of N.J.S.A. 39:6A-4 apply, the tort option
elected pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:6A-8 shall apply to that injured person.
Exclusion from personal injury benefits. Pursuant to
N.J.S.A. 39:6A-7, the Township of Pemberton elected to exclude from coverage
for benefits under Sections 4 and 10 of N.J.S.A. 39:6A-1 et seq. the following:
Was the owner or registrant of an automobile registered
or principally garaged in this state that was being operated without personal
injury protection coverage.
