Article XIII: Department of Wastewater Treatment

§ 5-93 Department established; Director.

There shall be a Department of Wastewater Treatment, the head of which shall be the Director of Wastewater Treatment.

Subject to the direction and supervision of the Director and the Superintendent of Wastewater Treatment, the Department shall:

Operate, maintain, construct, reconstruct and repair one or more sewage treatment plants as may be authorized by ordinance.

Have, exercise and discharge the functions, powers and duties of the Bureau of Sewers prescribed by ordinance (Chapter 492, Sewers, Sewage and Industrial Waste), except as otherwise required by this Administrative Code.

§ 5-95 Sewer Utility Advisory Committee.

There shall be a Sewer Utility Advisory Committee consisting of user municipalities of the Wastewater Treatment facilities.
