All other applicable laws and ordinances shall
be applicable in all permit-only parking areas.
All permits required under this article shall
be issued by the Borough Clerk upon written application therefor and
upon payment of the fees herein provided.

The permit shall be in the form of an identifiable
placard or other paper prepared by the Borough Clerk, and it shall
set forth the information contained in the application, and the permit-only
parking area for which the permit is issued.
The permit shall be placed or attached to the
rear-view mirror affixed to the front windshield of the permitted
vehicle, and shall be clearly visible through the front windshield
at all times while parking in a permit-only area.

A. The permits required under this article shall be issued for a time
period as requested by the applicant so long as all fees are paid
in full.
B. One permit shall be issued per motor vehicle. Permits shall not be
altered, copied or reproduced in any manner.

A. Permit fees are nonrefundable.
B. The fee for a permit for parking at all Borough Parking Areas: Kip
Avenue, Ettrick Terrace, Erie Avenue, Erie Park and Ride, East Erie,
and Rutherford Avenue parking lots shall be $125 per month for nonresidents
and $65 per month for employees of businesses located within the Borough
and for residents of the Borough of Rutherford. There shall be no
fee for the permit known as the "Kip Avenue senior permit."
C. The Mayor and Council may, at their discretion, suspend or alter the fee for permit parking at the Kip Avenue parking lot set forth at Subsection
B for special events.
D. The fee for permit parking for any parking lots administered by the
Borough of Rutherford on leased but not owned property will be $125
per month.
E. Subsections
B and
D shall take effect on July 1, 2020.

It is hereby established that the following areas shall be designated
as areas where parking shall be prohibited by all motor vehicles unless
a permit to park has been secured before parking. The Mayor and Council
may from time to time suspend or alter the public's ability to purchase
daily and/or monthly parking permits in the Borough of Rutherford
under this section at their discretion, with the exception of the
handicapped parking spaces designated by ordinance. At the discretion
of the Mayor and Council or the Rutherford Police Department, any
permit parking area in whole or in sections may be suspended or closed
at any time.
