It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to sell, distribute, use, set fire to or set off any fireworks or explosives substance within the city limits of the City of Somers Point, unless there shall first be obtained a permit therefor from the Mayor, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 21:3-1 et seq.
Any person or persons violating the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction by the proper city officials, be subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or a term of imprisonment not exceeding 90 days or a period of community service not exceeding 90 days, or any combination of the foregoing.
