[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee of the Township
of Weymouth 12-29-1980 by Ord. No. 243-80 as Ch. II, Sec. 2-5,
of the 1980 Revised General Ordinances; amended in its entirety 12-17-2008 by Ord. No.
478-2008. Subsequent amendments noted where applicable.]
The Township of Weymouth be and it is hereby authorized to enter
into a contract by and through its proper officers to join the Mid-Atlantic
Communications Center, providing for a central dispatch system which
shall be operated to provide communications to dispatch fire, rescue
assistance, police and emergency assistance to the citizens of each
municipality and to otherwise assist in protecting the general health,
safety and welfare of the citizens of said municipalities.
A copy of the agreement which the Township of Weymouth is authorized
to execute by this chapter shall be filed with the Clerk of the Township
of Weymouth and copies shall be available for public inspection in
the municipal building during normal business hours from the time
of passage upon the first reading.
