The following rules and regulations are hereby established for all municipal parks, playgrounds and recreational areas presently or hereafter established by the Township of Weymouth. It shall be unlawful to violate any of these rules and regulations or such additional regulations as may subsequently be adopted by the Township Committee.
A. 
No alcoholic beverage shall be consumed in or about the Township parks, playgrounds or recreational areas.

C. 
No person, other than authorized Township personnel engaged in the performance of their prescribed duties, shall drive or move any vehicle on any park, playground or recreational area without specific authorization from the Weymouth Township Committee.
D. 
No person shall possess or use any motorized vehicles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), mopeds, motorized bikes or similar apparatus of any description on or within any of the parks, playgrounds or recreational areas of the Township.
E. 
No person shall operate any bicycle on or within any park, playground or recreational area except as posted in such areas. All bicycles are to be stored and placed in areas designated and posted for such purposes. This provision shall not apply to any police or other public safety personnel during the course of their prescribed duties.
F. 
No camping shall be permitted in any park, playground or recreational area without specific written permission of the Weymouth Township Committee.
G. 
No person shall build, start or maintain a fire within any Township park, playground or recreational area except in those areas where a grill, fireplace or fire pit has been provided and is maintained for such purpose by the Township.

I. 
No person shall take upon any park, playground or recreational area any glass container of any size or description.
J. 
No person shall deposit or leave any cans, ashes, paper, litter, food waste or other refuse within a Township park, playground or recreational area except in those containers specifically provided and designated for such use by the Township.
K. 
No person shall possess, discharge or use any firearm, bow and arrow, knife or weapon of any description within, in or on any of the Township parks, playgrounds or recreational areas.
L. 
No person shall play golf or practice golf within or on any of the Township parks, playgrounds or recreational areas.
M. 
These rules and regulations may be supplemented by such additional rules and regulations as the Township shall promulgate and post at one or more of the Township's parks, playgrounds or recreational areas. Such rules and regulations shall have the same force and effect as those rules and regulations set forth in this section.

A. 
Any group, organization, entity, or team wishing to use a park, playground or recreational area must first request and receive written permission from the Township Committee at least 48 hours in advance of such contemplated usage. For purposes of this chapter, a “group,” “entity,” “team” or “organization” is defined as a collective number of persons, being 10 or more in number, whether related or unrelated, participating in an activity or outing involving the use of any park, playground or recreational area.
B. 
In addition to written permission from the Township Committee, the group, organization, entity, or team must pay the appropriate parks, playgrounds and recreational areas usage fee pursuant to § 125-11 and satisfy the other applicable requirements contained therein.
All parks, playgrounds and recreational areas of the Township of Weymouth shall be closed each day during the hours of sunset and 8:00 a.m.
Any persons violating any of the provisions of this chapter or any of the rules and regulations adopted hereunder shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine of not more than $500 or imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or both.
