Borough of Moosic, PA Article III Transfer of Liquor Licenses

[Adopted at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I)]

§ 77-9 Application for transfer.

Any individual person or corporation seeking to transfer a liquor license from another municipality into the Borough of Moosic shall complete an application with the Borough of Moosic setting forth:

A. The type of liquor license.

B. Location of said licensed premises.

C. Names and addresses of all owners of said liquor license.

D. Previous location of said liquor license for five years prior to the date of transfer.

§ 77-10 Public hearing.

Upon receipt of an application for the transfer of the liquor license from another municipality to the Borough of Moosic, the Borough Council shall schedule a public hearing. At said public hearing, input shall be taken by the owner of the license to be transferred and any other interested citizen.

§ 77-11 Determination by Council.

Upon the completion of the public hearing the Borough Council shall make a determination as to whether said transfer is in the best interest of the Borough of Moosic.

§ 77-12 Transfer fee.

The applicant seeking the transfer shall pay to the Borough a fee of $500 which shall be used to reimburse the Borough for any advertising costs or any other costs associated with making a determination as to said transfer.
