No person shall hereafter place or erect any post or plant any tree in any street in the Village except at such place and in such manner as may be directed by the Board of Trustees.
A. 
No person shall, except as hereinafter provided, trim, prune, climb, injure or remove any living tree in any street or public place or cut or break any branch or root thereof without the written permission of the Board of Trustees.
B. 
The Director of Public Works may cut down and remove or trim and prune any tree in any street or public place upon direction of the Board of Trustees.
C. 
No person shall interfere with the Director of Public Works in the performance of any duty imposed upon him or her by this section.

The Village shall have the right to cause the removal of any limbs or dead or diseased tree or trees on private property that have been deemed to be a hazard to public safety or property by the Director of the Village of Orchard Park Department of Public Works. The Village will notify, in writing, the owners of the property, and such limb or limbs or tree or trees shall be removed by said owners within 90 days after the date of service of notice. In the event that the owners fail to comply with such notice, the Village or its authorized representative shall have the authority to remove such limb or limbs or tree or trees and charge the cost of said removal to the owners and levy the same on subsequent tax bills.
