Every building on a public or private way within the Town of Eastham shall be provided by the owner and/or occupant with clear and legible street numbers placed in such manner as to be clearly visible from such ways.
Said numbers shall be not less than four inches in height.
The Town will determine the numbers to be assigned to all lots located on public or private ways and may be found on the real estate tax bills or by calling the Town Hall.
All new buildings erected or located in Eastham must have numbers as required prior to occupancy.
Any person who willfully fails to comply with the provisions of this bylaw or who unlawfully removes, defaces or changes a number affixed to a building under this bylaw shall be punished by a fine of not more than $25 for each offense.
