At the election held on November 8, 1955, there was submitted
to the voters of the Township, hereinafter referred to as "said municipality,"
the question of whether or not said municipality should adopt provisions of
the Civil Service Act of the State of New Jersey, and said adoption was duly
approved and authorized by a majority of the voters of the Township.
Immediately thereafter, the Civil Service Commission
of the State of New Jersey made a survey of all municipal officers and employees,
covering the duties, salaries, and respective departments of said employees,
of said municipality.
Following such a survey, the Civil Service Commission
has submitted to the governing body of the said municipality three separate
schedules, which three separate schedules are on file with the Township Clerk,
as follows.
Schedule 1. A complete list of the employees of the municipality,
giving the class, and the jurisdiction service and division, to which the
position occupied by each employee has been allocated.
Schedule 2. A specification for each class established
by the aforesaid survey, including a definition of the class, its distinguishing
characteristics, examples of work, and the requirements to be applied for
recruitment to the class.
