[Adopted 5-4-1992 as Ord.
No. 92-9]
The Borough desires to establish procedures for the inspection of public
records in order that the operations of the Borough will not be disrupted
through requests for inspection and copying of Borough records. The Borough
also desires to set reasonable charges in order to reimburse the Borough for
expenses incurred, such as photocopying charges and staff time necessitated
by requests for record inspection and reproduction. The Borough desires to
set a policy which will provide for the reasonable inspection and reproduction
of the Borough's reasonable records by citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The Borough Council, by resolution, shall set forth reasonable charges
for inspection and reproducing Borough records which are otherwise authorized
to be inspected and photocopied or reproduced by citizens of the commonwealth.
The Municipal Administrator or his/her designee is authorized to establish
and promulgate rules and regulations governing the time, manner and method
that the inspection, photocopying and reproduction of Borough records shall
be permitted.
