The Borough of Punxsutawney, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, shall organize a municipal authority under the provisions of the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, approved May 2, 1945, as amended,[1] to be known as the "Punxsutawney Airport Authority," to have an existence for a period of 50 years, and the project which it is to undertake is to acquire, hold, construct, improve, maintain, operate, own or lease, either as lessor or lessee, the municipal airport, as now or hereafter shall be provided by law. The following named persons are hereby appointed as the members of said Authority and shall serve terms thereon as set forth after their respective names:[2]

The Mayor, the President and Secretary of the Council and the Borough Solicitor shall take all necessary steps to prepare and file with the Secretary of the Commonwealth an application for a Charter for said Authority.
