Each Supervisor of Washington Township elected or appointed to office on or after the effective date of this article shall receive compensation as a Supervisor in the annual amount of $1,875.
Such compensation shall be paid in monthly or quarterly installments, as determined from time to time by resolution of the Board of Supervisors.
This article shall be effective five days after enactment.

The compensation to be paid by Washington Township to the elected Washington Township Tax Collector for collection of Township real estate, per capita and amusement taxes and streetlight assessments for the 1998 - 2001 term shall be 3% of each Township real estate, per capita and amusement tax bill collected and 3% of each streetlight assessment bill collected.[1]

The Washington Township Tax Collector shall comply with all reasonable requirements, procedures, policies and resolutions adopted by the Board of Supervisors of Washington Township for the collection of Township real estate, per capita and amusement taxes and streetlight assessments and for the prompt deposit of these taxes to Washington Township accounts so as to permit the use of these funds by Washington Township as soon as possible.
