It shall be unlawful to burn, or cause to be burned, garbage
or household, business or industrial trash or similar waste products
of every nature or kind out-of-doors, either in incinerators or without
incinerators, on either public or private property in the Township
of Springfield.

It shall be unlawful to burn or cause to be burned out-of-doors,
either with incinerators or without incinerators, on either public
or private property, in the Township of Springfield, leaves, brush,
grass and similar organic matter.
Under no circumstances shall any burning be done before 7:00 a.m. or after 5:00 p.m., nor shall any burning be done except at reasonable and safe distances from buildings and with a responsible person in constant attendance, nor shall any burning be done which causes any nauseous vapor or odor or which causes an undue amount of smoke. This section shall not apply to the type of burning allowable under §
16-4 of this chapter.
Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to apply to the usual
use of barbecues or outside fireplaces for the cooking of food.

Any person, the partners of any copartnership and the officers
of any association or corporation violating any of the provisions
of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof in a summary proceeding,
be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 and costs.
